Leash up your pooch and join us in University District (4410 University Ave NW) on Sunday, July 14 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for the second annual Tails & Treasures event at University District! Completely dog-friendly, this free outdoor festival will include entertainment, food, activities, giveaways, a treasure map adventure and contests for you and your dog.

Does your dog have a special talent (or is just plain wonderful)? Register from 1 – 2 p.m. at the contest stage and have your dog compete for titles such as Biggest Dog, Cutest Dog, Best Dressed and Best Trick.

Have some photo booth fun with your furry friend, then grab a bite to eat from a food truck or local vendor and visit the pet-oriented kiosks. Pick up a treasure map and explore the urban dog park. With four fun stations to visit, you and Fido can go on your very own adventure in search of treasure.

Tails & Treasures showcases the healthy, active, pet-friendly lifestyle of University District, which is emerging as a desirable new community hub in the city’s NW.

You may notice some tumbleweeds on Vern Magazine at the moment. Our team is social distancing (it’s all the rage), so you may notice we’re not as active publishing all the content you’ve come to love. In the meantime, we encourage you to keep supporting local businesses from a distance and look forward to venturing out to our favourite shops, restaurants and events in the near future.
